When it comes to supermarkets, Larry's Foodland owner (yes there really is a Larry) Larry Lokuta knows the formula for success. "If you take care of your employees they will take care of you" explains Larry. Larry credits his co-workers to the success he knows today.

Larry always planned to own a business. Since he loves working with people, the supermarket industry was a perfect match. "I knew if I could keep groceries on the shelf, the people part wouldn't be a problem. After six years of intensive supermarket training, Larry felt ready to own a store. In October 1990, Larry acquired the Livonia location. The completely remodeled 18,500 square foot store is a full service Supermarket with meat, produce, deli and bakery along with groceries, frozen food, dairy, health & beauty aids and beer & wine.

Larry also attributes his success to the community he serves. Larry's participates in community fundraising programs, picnics and more. Larry knows the importance of team work and his stores show that! "I am proud to support the community that shows me such support", explains Larry.

Since Livonia store opening in 1990, Larry has always hoped to acquire another store. In September 2004 a location became available in South Lyon and it soon became Larry's II. Like Livonia, Larry continues his community involvement in South Lyon and credits that store's success to the community just as he does for Livonia.
